Why we started ZyloFuel
We are software people. We spent years building technology for the fuel card industry. Then we decided to run a card program ourselves.
The company
Who is ZyloFuel?
ZyloFuel is a Canadian fuel card company for small trucking fleets. Our operations are based in Ontario, our registered office is in Surrey, British Columbia, and we serve carriers across Canada.
We work with fleets of one to twenty trucks. That includes owner-operators running a single truck. It is the size of carrier we set the program up for, not an exception we make.

Our story
Why did software people start a fuel card company?
Because we saw the business from the inside, and we knew a card program could be run better than the one we would have been sold.
For years we built the systems fuel card programs run on. We saw how prices are set, how a transaction settles, and how an invoice is put together. We saw the whole machine, not the brochure.
We also saw what it looked like from the carrier's side. The discount was usually real. So were the fees, and the fees were rarely on the front page. A carrier signed up for a saving and worked out months later what it had actually cost.
So we built the program we would want as customers. Real discounts. Every transaction visible as it happens. No fee you were not told about before you signed.
We are a small company, and we are not hiding it. When you call, you get someone who knows how the program works, because we built it.

What does ZyloFuel stand for?
Three things. They decide how everything else in the program is built.
Price before you pump
You should know the price before you pump. We email tomorrow's prices the night before, so nobody finds out at the pump.
Nothing happens quietly
You should see every transaction as it happens. Alerts reach your email while your driver is still at the pump.
No fee arrives later
You should never find a fee you were not told about. Every charge is named before you sign, not after.
Who it is for
Who do you build this for?
Small fleets. One truck to twenty.
A fleet of five trucks does not have a fuel desk or an analyst. It has an owner who is also dispatching, invoicing, and some weeks driving. So the program has to be simple enough to run from a phone between loads.
That is also why we check your routes before you sign up. Tell us the lanes you run and we will check them against the network. If your trucks do not cross enough network locations, we will tell you.
We would rather lose the sale than sell you a card that will not save you anything.
